A: No - the price includes Full Membership to ALL Guests and
currently we do not charge for electricity. There are no
membership cards issued but you will received a completed membership
form before the start of your holiday.
Q: What deposit is required?
A: A Deposit of £50.00 is required to confirm your reservation and
will be deducted from the full cost of your holiday. The
balance is due 56 days before the start of your holiday unless you
have made your booking via ebay or a booking website - the balance
will be due approximately 28 days after confirming booking from
these sites. We
accept payment by cheque or paypal.
Q: Are Group Bookings accepted?
A: The site will only accept Couples or Family Groups - no hen/stag
parties. This site very much caters for families young and
old.
Q: Are Dogs welcome? - SORRY BUT WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING BOOKINGS FOR DOGS AT PRESENT DUE TO OWNERS NOT MEETING CONDITIONS OF DOGS NOT BEING LEFT IN PROPERTY ALONE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND WE ARE DOG OWNERS OURSELVES.
Previous Answer
A: Yes - well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at 12 Strawberry
Hill. We charge £40.00 per pet per week. There are
however conditions that must be adhered to or we will no longer be
able to accept pets - from experience some dog owners have not been
responsible and therefore we may cancel pet bookings in the future.
Dogs must be under strict control at all times whilst inside or
outside the property - children play outside the property and some
may not be keen on dogs. Any fouling must be cleared up
without delay. The owner must bring the Dog's bed or basket or
their own blankets for sleeping on - Dogs are not allowed on the
beds or sofa. Dogs must not be left alone in the property at
any time. If we have any reason to believe these conditions are not being met
your holiday will be cut short without compensation.
Some beaches in this area of Cornwall do not allow dogs on them during certain months click here for dog friendly beaches.
Q: What do we need to bring with us?
A: We DO NOT provide Bed Linen or Towels. We request that you
bring your own sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers and towels.
Bed Linen must ALWAYS be used. Duvets, pillows and spare
blankets are stored at the property. One Double Bed with
KINGSIZE quilt, Four 2ft 6 Single Beds with SINGLE quilts. The
property has Freeview TV, DVD, Video Player, CD Players, Iron and
Ironing Board, Vacuum Cleaner, Microwave, Fridge with small Freeze
Box, there are also a selection of DVD's, Video's and CD's
available. A full list of household items will be supplied in
your holiday information pack. We do not supply any Baby
Equipment - NO Cot or Highchair available.
Q:What time can we check in?
A: Our guests can gain entry to the property at 3:00pm - this is an
hour earlier than John Fowler guests who have booked direct (they
also do not know which accommodation they are booked into!)
There is no queuing for keys so you can start immediately on the
unpacking then start enjoying your holiday.
Q: What time do we have to check out?
A: Please could you ensure you vacate 12 Strawberry Hill by 11:00am
on your day of departure, leaving it in a clean and tidy state.
Please ensure that all rubbish and your personal belongings are
removed as we can not guarantee being able to send anything on to
you.
Q: Do we need holiday insurance?
A: If unfortunately you need to cancel your holiday please could you
put this in writing either by email or post. If you cancel
more than 56 days before your arrival date we will refund all that
you have paid us, except your deposit, which is non-returnable.
If you cancel 56 days or less before your arrival the full amount
will be retained, unless we re-let the property. In this case
we will make a refund at our discretion. We therefore have
recommended in the past that UK Holiday Insurance is taken out (an
internet search will find companies that do this) - it is not
expensive and should cover you for illness, death, redundancy, jury
service, etc for you and the members of your party.
We cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, or damage to your property whilst on holiday. We hold buildings and contents insurance for our own belongings but holiday guests personal property is NOT covered.
We unfortunately can not guarantee availability of all amenities during your stay as this may be due to circumstances beyond our control. Tolroy Manor is open from March to October.
Q: Is 12 Strawberry Hill Wheelchair
Friendly?
A: The property is accessed via a couple of steps up onto a
terrace/patio and all the bedrooms are upstairs. The bathroom
is downstairs but the sofa is not to be used as an extra bed.
We would therefore not recommend 12 Strawberry Hill if you have
difficulty with steps and another holiday accommodation may fulfil
your needs better.
Q: What else do we need to know?
A: If there is anything else that you need to know please email us
and we will do our best to answer your question as soon as possible.
